Parlez-vous Français?

Yesterday was a very encouraging day! I was hired as a French Teacher at Community Christian School Westfield! It is very exciting! CCS is a university model school, which means that kids go to school 3 days a week and they have a university-like schedule (they have different teachers, sign up for elective and subjects, etc...). Kids work at home the other 2 days of the week. The idea is to combine homeschooling and regular schooling in order to help out parents who don't feel fully equipped to homeschool. It is a great system. It really is a partnership between the school and the parents. So far, I am assigned to teach junior high and high school French but, depending on new arrivals and registration, I may also be teaching elementary French. If you'd like to know more about university-model schools and my new job check out this website: www.ccsfamily.org/index.php
On top of it all, I already had 6 people ask me about piano lessons. Because we don't have a house yet, I am hoping to start teaching at church.
John and I have been enjoying the great New-England outdoors. We climbed a mountain last weekend. We also took Buddy out in the river for his first swim! It was fun to finally get him accustomed to water!

How wonderful to read your last two postings!! We are home from our MN vacation so it is nice to catch up with you on your blog! Love the photos - your temporary home looks darling and it is very exciting to hear about the new job and possible new home too!! Things are falling into place and we can just see how this is the perfect fit for the two of you - even down to the natural beauty around you and the HUGE blessing of having Karine's family close by!! God is so good and your congregation is very blessed to have you!
We love and miss you very much...wish we could just pop on over and visit.
