We have safely arrived to Southwick MA last Thursday night. The trip was really long but everything went well. We didn't encounter any bad weather, truck problems or ugly traffic. We had a great time together along the way talking about all the new opportunities that are ahead of us. Thanks to everyone of you who prayed for our trip. We were kinda nervous about driving a 16 foot truck with our car attached in the back!
The last few days have been filled with a lot of different things. We took care of banking matters, visited a few homes, drove all around the area to see what's around and settled down in our new little appartment. It is located on the second floor of a church member's house. We will be renting it on a month-to-month basis while we shop around for homes. The only thing is that the owner of the house is selling her house, which includes our appartment. Please pray that we can find our house before she sells hers. She had several showings but seems to have had no offer so far.
John officially started working at the church 2 days ago. He's already loving it so much! His Sunday responsibilities won't start until the 21st which is allowing him to get familiar with the church procedures and prepare for his new responsibilities.
Last Sunday was great! We got to sit and enjoy the service. The church members have been pouring so much love and care upon us. It's almost overwhelming! We have already been so blessed.
My parents and sister will come visit soon. It is so exciting to live closer to them. My mom will come the 24th for a week. Then, she will come back with my sister mid-July for a few days. My dad will probably get to come for a long weekend sometimes in July. What a blessing the Lord has given us! I am so thankful!
I am hoping to update this blog regularly. I will post some pics of the appartment, church and area as soon as possible. The owner of our place is still fixing up our appartment so we'll take pics as soon as she's done. Again, thank you so much for all your prayers and support. We already miss our Freeport friends so much!

Its great to hear from you and blogs are a great way to save time in sending info. to all.
There are still things to be shared 1:1.
Hope things continue to go well , and that you find the "home of your dreams" -either rent or own -- before landlady sells!

John and Karine, How great to hear news of you. Monique gave me the address for your blog and news of some of the great things that are happening. Praying that you will find a new home (well, a new house anyway; you already seem to have found a new home). We're also praying for all of the other things that go along with such a move.
Love, Lisa and Larry
